Full squad!

With Hope and Sophie Lygo returning from injury this week Barton United U11 girls were up to a full match squad of 10..

Didcot Casuals started off strong keeping the ball in our half for a good portion of the first half, however Hope Jacob strong as ever put Barton in the lead.

Didcot unfortunately gave away a Penalty by way of handball and Kimora cool, calm and collectively took the shot, closely followed by another 2 one after the other.

Second half Barton had a lot of time on the ball which the midfield took full advantage of, beautiful passing between Edie, Georgia, Sophie Lygo and Bonnie.

Edie Gibb as always finding space creative opportunities and confident in front of goal with some great attempts along with Birthday girl G who did everything but score today, outstanding in every area of the pitch.

Sophie Lygo came back with a bang, was great on the wing incredibly strong battling all the way.

Barton kept a lot of the possession resulting in the defence not having as much to do today however whenever Didcot caught a break Imogen, Chrissy and Kelis shut them down quickly getting the ball to their team mates to press forward. Imogen was first to the ball and kept a lot of pressure on Didcot's striker.

Massive shout out to Chrissy who soldiered through the match even with a cut to her foot.

Kelis Brockall came out of defence for a while demonstrating how well she can move on the ball, after getting her bearings Kelis got stuck in and created some great opportunities in the middle.

Hope hit a powerful cross which hit the head of a Didcot player hitting the back of Barton’s net. Shortly after Hope polished off yet another scorcher.

Tihana had an amazing game, big goal kicks reaching way up to the midfield along with making some great saves and keeping a clean sheet for the full 50 minutes.

Player of the match Hope Jacob.
